Andreas Braeuer has been director of the Institute of Thermal-, Environmental- and Resources' Process Engineering (ITUN) and Professor for Thermal Process Engineering at the Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg (TUBAF), Germany, since January 2018.
In 2014 he completed his habilitation in engineering thermodynamics "in situ Raman spectroscopy for high pressure process technology" and became Privatdozent (University teacher) at the faculty of engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). Later, in 2015 the Wolfgang-Finkelnburg-Preis was conferred on him for his habilitation by the faculty of engineering of FAU.
Andreas Braeuer wrote a text book "In situ spectroscopic techniques at high pressure", which was published by Elsevier in December 2015 within the book series "Supercritical Fluid Science and Technology".
His research aims at understanding complex mechanisms in chemical engineering processes using optical measurement techniques which are specially configured for the respective measurement tasks.
