The Condom Availability Program (opens in new window) is part of NYC's HIV education program, which requires HIV education for all students, every year. Students in grades 9-12 can go to their school’s Health Resource Room to request information about HIV and other reproductive and sexual health topics, free condoms and other resources, and referrals to local health clinics and services.

Condom Availability Program Overview (Part 1 of 3)
This three-part training webinar builds participants' skills for implementing or enhancing a Condom Availability Program (CAP) at their school. As a result of the first webinar, participants will be able to: identify characteristics of a trusted adult, interpret statistics related to NYC students that demonstrate the importance of CAP, and recognize the NYCPS mandates and requirements to effectively operate CAP at their school. Condom Demonstrations and Answering Sensitive Questions (Part 2 of 3)
This three-part training webinar builds participants' skills for implementing or enhancing a Condom Availability Program (CAP) at their school. As a result of the second webinar, participants will be able to: define sexual consent and explain its importance, describe and demonstrate steps for correct external/internal condom use, and answer sensitive questions. Health Referrals and Next Steps (Part 3 of 3)
This three-part training webinar builds participants’ skills for implementing or enhancing a Condom Availability Program (CAP) at their school. As a result of the third webinar, participants will be able to: recognize minors' rights to accessing health care in New York, establish partnerships with and refer students to local health and youth serving organizations. Participants will end the webinar by identifying clear next steps they will take to implement or enhance the CAP at their school. CTLE: 75 minutes. Registration links below.
