How do I build & maintain my ORCID online researcher profile?

one core Researcher Identity to which other identities, profiles and websites are linked
a core collection of all research output in various formats
the means to Easily share your data between your record and an increasing number of funding, publications, data repositories, and other research workflows. Source: ORCID
ORCID links all your research together, while you control the visibility of each piece of data. Set your visibility to public to increase your discoverability!

Publishers use ORCID to clearly link authors and reviewers—and all their name variants—with their research work, by embedding ORCID iDs into their publication metadata and displaying them on finished publications.
When an article submission is accepted and then published, the publisher:
Includes the ORCID iDs in the article metadata.
Adds the publication to the author’s ORCID record, connecting the person with the publication.
Displays the iD within the article and the article metadata

Experience greater ease as an increasing number of manuscript submission or grant application forms can be auto-populated when you log into their systems with your ORCID
Automatic updates to your record as you publish
Ensure that data such as peer reviews and other works automatically get pushed to your record when they become available by linking your record with Datacite, Crossref or Publons.
Any type and format of research output may be uploaded into the ORCID works.
Links to the Peer Review software, Publons, is also made via linking your ORCID to the Web of Science platform
