Received his diploma in ‘Fine Arts’ from the Universal School of Fine Arts in Kozhikode in 1995. He is a recipient of The Pollock-Krasner Foundation fellowship from the US in 2013 and received the Honorable Mention Award instituted by the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi in 2017. He was a delegate at the International Art Symposium ‘The Breath of Epos’ 2010 held in Yelabuga, Russia. Some of his major works were exhibited at the ‘International Art Collective’ at Durbar Hall Art Gallery in Kochi in 2016, ‘Rustic Footmarks’, Durbar Hall Art Centre, Kochi in 2019, National Gallery of Canada in 2014, City Arts Factory Magic Gallery/ Orlando, Florida, US in 2014 and International Art Exhibition, Poland in 2011. Born in 1975 in Koduvally, he lives and works in Kozhikode, Kerala.
My creations mostly connect with the space I belong to. Through my paintings I try to hunt down the mysteries which evolve out of the uniqueness of art through my experience and knowledge rooted in the regional and spatial identity. These strokes and shades are not preconceived. When colours and canvas blend with the artist’s soul, there opens a new world.
