Lynn Bennett-Mackenzie
My upbringing and life in the rural Scottish Highlands have given me a unique perspective on the landscape as a living, working, evolving environment. My art focuses on transience and permanence and understanding various natural lives in their environments. I use a variety of media, including drawing, photography, and found materials, appropriate to the spaces and subjects in which I am working and which draw me to them. My awareness as an artist has also developed through my work with other creatives, especially from India and South East Asia. I have exhibited widely, collaborated, coordinated, and participated in many projects locally and globally.

Tamara de Laval
My work deals with life experience, ongoing conflicts in the world, and feminism. I find inspiration in Deleuze and Guattari's theories of rhizomatic, non-hierarchical and non-chronological ways of thinking, collaborating, making connections, and disseminating ideas. My first visits to Chennai were in 1969-70 when I lived temporarily in Pondicherry. In 1994 I was introduced to artists in Cholamandal Artist Village and Lalit Kala Studios, where the artist community reminded me of my childhood in an artist commune. I had several exhibitions in Chennai and at Dakshinachitra in the years that followed. I am a founder of artist group Meteor which makes art projects in public space. I received The Pollock-Krasner Foundation Award (2014-15). I have an MFA from the Royal College of Art, Stockholm, Sweden (1981), and previously studied at Konstfack College of Art, Stockholm, and Lund University. I live and work in Malmö, Sweden.
