May 15, 2022 Parkland Community member becomes aware that Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) plans to sell Parkland School and surrounding property to developers and and the delisting decision on the table at the Pierce County Landmark & Historic Preservation Commission to remove Parkland School from Pierce County Historic Register and vote to approve demolition of Parkland School.

Tuesday, March 28th, 2023 Testified in front of the Washington State House of Representatives in support of funds for Parkland School in House Bill 1147.

March 28, 2023 Negotiated and secured a signed Purchase and Sale Agreement between the Parkland Community Assn. and Pacific Lutheran University

March 28, 2023 PLU has extended our purchase deadline to November 3, 2023. Which provides us 7 months to raise the $2.85 million necessary to purchase Parkland School.

July 3, 2023 Governor Inslee signed the 2023-25 State Capital Budget, which included an appropriation of $500,000 for the Parkland School (Parkland) Project.
