The Stevens 325 was the fore-runner of the Savage 340. It was introduced in 1947 and discontinued under the Stevens name by 1950.
The 325 came in 4 known variants: the 325, 325-A, 325-B, and the 325-C. All were in 30-30 Winchester and were equipped with a 3 round detachable magazine. The barrel was 21 inches and weight was 6.75 lbs. Rifles were equipped with an open rear sight, bead front sight, and a plain pistol grip stock.
The 325-S was as per the 325 but equipped with a rear peep sight.
