All maker info is on the left rear of the barrel under the rear sight.
Stock is very basic birch wood with a medium stain
Comes factory drilled and tapped for a side scope mount, also drilled and tapped for a peep sight
Uses the common 225/30-30 magazine
Some bolt changes, knurled bolt knob not swept back and longer gas shield, this bolt will not fit any savage 340 series because of the longer gas shield even though the length of the complete bolts are the same. You can also cycle the bolt regardless of the safety’s position
Mag housing is in the recessed style and uses the late style flat mag release
This rifle is serialized but has no letter prefix
Wood stock is recessed on the left side of the receiver for the later weaver style scope mount, barrel length is 22”
