This painting by Heald depicts a fish as it jumps out of the water. The fish is in a lake, among the reeds and lily pads. It very well could be based on Clark Lake, which is a lake filled with reeds and water lilies. The fish is imaginary but seems to resemble some trout or bass. After all, Heald was a historian and an artist, not a biologist or fisher,
