On March 2, 2025 IISER Mohali conducted the inaugural edition of our science fest Tattva. As part of the model organism workshop conducted by the Biology Discussion Forum, I gave a short lecture to undergraduate students about Drosophila melanogaster and its mutant phenotypes.
On Sep 27, 2024 IISER Mohali celebrated its 18th Foundation Day for which we had 2000 school students visit us. The excitement they had looking at different mutants and understanding sex-linked inheritance was truly rewarding for me as a SciComm enthusiast!
On October 28, 2023, I was invited to curate and conduct the event 'Chemsharades' for Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School's inter-school Chemistry culturals 'Bonds'. The event spanned three rounds each with a dedicated theme - named chemical reactions, carbon family and laws in Chemistry. The event was attended by 11 teams from across Chennai city!
On October 12, 2023, I was part of an 8-member panel of fourth year undergraduates who discussed international internship opportunities as part of Phi@I's (IISER Mohali's physics club) Internship Talk Series 2023.
As part of PhyFron அறிவியல் மன்றம்'s 'Summarize your research in six minutes in Tamil' poster competition, I explained Drosophila hematopoiesis in my mother tongue, Tamil and won the second prize!
