After working on multiple residential projects in Queenstown's booming market, I noticed the disheartening reality that owners were ill-informed when it comes to maximising the quality of the living experience of their home.

Unfortunately 99% of new houses in the rapidly expanding areas of Shotover country, Jacks point & Hanleys Downs are predesigned 'copy and paste' homes from companies that only see fast monetary gains, combined with outsourced builders that are along for the ride. These are not cheap houses by any means, however I have seen basic design flaws in every house. Houses that sit at the base of Remarkables not taking advantage of the most impressive mountain range in the country, attic spaces that a child could not stand in, orientation of houses that have been designed for a completely different sites, un-utilised oversized roof spaces, and general bad planning.

I am hoping to provide cost-effective basic design consultation, that is site & owner specific that can then used to produce a home that the occupants will cherish, rather than regret missed opportunities. The home of your dreams does not come from a set catalogue of generic plans, it comes an understanding of your needs, lifestyle and future requirements.

Currently an average set of house plans (3 bedroom) cost $1700. I am offering client consultation to gain insight on how you like to live, site analysis, up to 2 concept different designs, 2D basic floor plans, 3D modeling & site rendering and client alterations. These however not final plans for council lodgement, rather a sound design within feasible construction parameters that can be finalised with a draftsman. All produced sketches and electronic files will be made fully available in industry used formats.

As this is a new business venture for myself, and step towards my dream of builder architect is am offering these services at a well below industry price of $400 (approx 10 hours of design)
