9/5/2025 First Blog Post This week, I finished off the last of our remaining models, a yarn IV Stand for the medic yarn to roll around with, and a woven basket with which to populate the background of our scenes. Once those were modeled and finished, I started to work through my scheduled list of UV layouts, starting with the scroll featured in the beginning of the film. After getting Paul's advice on it, I also started to experiment with modeling a floorboard that we could texture and add to the scene at the end, in order to ensure that the floors, which we will be very close up with, have enough detail and realism to not look flat, like just adding a texture to a floor plane would.

9/22/2025 Blog Post 2: My primary task for the group has been to work my way through the rest of the models needing UVs. I have been struggling through it a bit, due to some external factors and overall lack of familiarity with the UV side of Maya, but they are getting done, slowly but surely. This week I did the sewing kit, story scroll, and partially the cash register prop, although an issue in the modeling of that prop did crop up that I have to fix up before continuing. On the group side of things, we have been working through a large and complex issue involving foster parents cluttering our main set file. This is being solved, mainly by Lucy, who is trying to re-layout the set with the goal of optimizing load and render times
