1/29/2025 Second Group Meeting.
This week, we have primarily focused as a group on organizing ourselves, creating schedules, and assigning roles and tasks. Below are screenshots of the schedules and shot lists, primarily made by Mack, which we are all following to complete our various tasks

2/5/2025 Today, my group finished up the remaining organizational steps we had left to complete. We managed to construct a schedule a few weeks into the future, as far as what concept art and modeling needed to be finished by then. We also discussed what we would consider finished, as far as technolgically, with history deleted, no or few ngons, and artisitically to make sure it fits the aesthetic and level of detail.
On my part, I was able to begin working on placeholder set geometry, for our three sets, as shown below, as well as a prop in the form of the medal worn by General Berry. In the week ahead I plan to work on the mesh for General Berry, as well as a medic yarn person
2/12/2025 This was a week filled with progress for my group. We have fully moved past concept work, and now are in the modeling stage of most things. Our group continues to work together very smoothly in my opinion, no disagreements or arguments to speak of yet, although we did hit a slight bump today, in the way that only Rianne made it to class in person, due to the weather, illness, and in my case, waking up minutes before the start of class. On my part, I have been busy making the model for General Berry, which I can say is almost finished, I just need to add a few more details and edit some of the geometry to flow better, as well as giving him non-placeholder arms. After finishing Berry, I will be moving on to Tink, the yarn medic, whose concept art is posted below
3/5/25 A large amount of progress has been made in between the last blog post and this one. I have completed the model for General Berry, which changed significantly after feedback from the larger group about the size and general shape of the eyes, brows, and main body of the original model. I Also made a significant amount of progress on the model for Tink, the medic yarn. I had him almost finished, but received some feedback from the group which made me change up his over all shape, so I am working to alter him successfully and not mess up his wrappings. Along with these two, I have started to work on the model for two of the weapons, after the group discussed and decided that the methods used to create these models by one member of the group weren't quite fitting the look of the film. I took over modeling, and feel like it is going well.
I feel like my group is doing remarkably well at the moment, and other than that slight hiccup where one of our modelers output wasn't quite working sylistically, which was handled very gracefully in my opinion, I feel like it is so far a very smooth process. Any disagreements we have had we were able to come to a solution for over the course of a single class.
Final Model for General Berry, approved and currently in the uv stage of our pipeline
Model for Tink, minus arms, as I had to remove them so it was easier to scale the whole model to fit the concept art better
Seam Ripper model, based off of the concept art below, made by myself after reviewing a previous iteration which was
3/14/25 This week I have completed the bulk of my assigned modeling work, finishing the model for Tink the medic, the seam ripper, and starting and finishing the crochet hook, and I am currently working on the model of the sewing kit, and a detailed plant we need for several shots, necessitating a high level of detail. I still have a very high level of confidence in the team, although personally I feel like some pressure is starting to be felt by some of us, and that some roadblocks might be coming up. I feel like at times we lack a clear vision for what this film is going to look like, with differing approaches to modeling and how to model being one of my cheif concerns. It isn't anything major, and I feel like the rest of us are aware of it enough to stop it from being an issue
Finalized model of Tink, sent to Mack for approval, after making some adjustments over the previous version
Model for the crochet hook, ready to be approved by Mack
Finalized and approved model for the seam ripper carried by general berry
In progress model of a sewing kit we will be using as set dressing and focus on in a shot, which will eventually have straps to hold in the weapons
Work in progress model for the detailed plant, I need to go in and wonk it a little bit, just so it isn't so perfect all around like it is now
