New to meal prepping? Just a couple things to help you get started!
1 - KEEP IT SIMPLE! Focus on preparing one meal at a time. This will help to keep down the overspending and food waste that occurs from grocery shopping without a goal in mind. Eventually, we can plan out purchases for two meals, then three.. It is all about building momentum.
2 - SCHEDULE IT! Pick a day of the week that works for you, and schedule that hour to get it done. My favorite day to get everything ready? Sunday - to prepare for the work week.
3 - USE DEPENDABLE RECIPES! Using recipes that are familiar will not only be easier, but you know you will like it and enjoy it! Prep is not the time to make something challenging and new. Consistency is key.
4 - HAVE FUN! Meal prepping is a lifestyle change - we are basically planning out your week. Listen to music, dance in the kitchen, laugh at your failures and successes. If you do not enjoy what you do, will you continue to do it?
