Project Description

For this project I was instructed to gather different media samples from Creative Commons and credit them appropriately.

I found this image by searching "ocean" on the Creative Commons website.

After I downloaded this image to my computer I was able to upload it onto my portfolio website.

The image is licensed under CC-BY 2.0 meaning that it can be shared (copied and redistributed in any medium or format) and adapted, meaning the material can be remixed, transformed, or built on.

Animated Sample - Animated GIF

I found this animated GIF on DeviantArt by searching "Beach GIF."

I was able to download and save this image to my computer and then upload it to my portfolio page.

Unfortunately, I could not find a license listed. I will credit and link the source by following the TASL rule of thumb.

To the left is my embedded video sample.

This is a video of dolphins jumping in the ocean.

I embedded this video from YouTube which offered an embedding code but not the licensing or policy information.

To the right is my audio MP3 sample called "Water wave Beach Peoples ships Field."

This is a MP3 audio file that I uploaded to my google drive and then embedded onto my portfolio website.

This audio sample is licensed under CC0 1.0 Deed Universal which means the creator has dedicated their work to the public and waiving all rights to their work. This allows anyone to be able to perform, modify, or build on to the work.

Lessons Learned

I learned a lot of lessons during this project. One of the things I enjoyed learning was how to upload an audio file because this was something I had never done before. This lesson also taught me about the different media types and how to properly credit them. I really enjoyed this assignment!
