Carrying the fragrance
A long time ago, there was a woman named Keramana. People knew her because she could do amazing things. Onetime, she was in her house and she missed her two sons, Sultan Walad and 'Alauddin, who was away studying in a different city.
She was thinking about how much she missed them and how nice they were when two special messengers came to her. They said The Great Allah wanted her to come with them. Keramana said she couldn't go yet because she was thinking about her sons. The special messengers said she had to come, but Keramana said she has to finish what she was doing first.
She said to her hands, "Keep working on cleaning the carrots and turnips for dinner" and to her eyes and mouth, "You can cry and sing, but I have to go see the great Allah now." And so, her soul left her body and went to the great Allah.
But, when she came back, she found her body still there, doing what she had told it to do. She was happy and said, "If I can always feel bound in Allah, why wouldn't I want to hold myself all the time?"
In times old, some children were playing in the apple orchard their parents had grown. They were running and having fun in the tall grass, and playing games.
But then, they got tired of these games and started climbing the trees. They took some of the small flowers and unripe apples and threw them on the bottom. Then, they started holding from the stems, sliding back and forth.
This was too much for the stems, and they started to break. An old apple tree's stems broke, and the tree was hurt. The children didn't know when the tree started to speak, "Kids, please stop! You are hurting me." The children were so startled to hear the tree speak, so they all go down from the stems and stood still.
"My little friends, listen to me," the apple tree said. "Your parents worked hard to put me and make me grow. Do you know why?"
"Yes," said Mary, a kid who took the fruit. "So we can eat apples!"
"It's right," said the tree. "So instead of hurting me, can you help your parents to make me grow? If you do, my apples will grow big and good. Then when they are red, you can eat them and they will make you feel better."
"Apples are good for you," the tree explained. "They make your heart, brain, and eyes work well. And they will make sure you don't get sick. They also make your blood clean."
"We are sorry," said Kareem, who was swinging on the stems. All the kids felt bad and said sorry to the apple tree.
"It's okay," said the tree. "Just remember to foster the things important to you. And don't hurt me or muff anything again."
The kids learned their lesson don’t hurt the trees and went back to playing games.
