Spring Break is the last long break in the semester. After this break, there is final exam, so they enjoy last free time. Some people go trip, others spend time with family.

Prom is a dance that students do the end of the party. Usually, it is held in April or May, students are very excited the day. 

Prom is one of the biggest events on their life, so it's important to look for perfect dress. Traditionally, boys invite girls, and it could be romantic, funny ways. 

American schools  don't have a opening ceremony, but they have graduation ceremony like Japan. 

In America, students have dress code which wear gown and square hat. Japanese students wear school uniform, but American students don't have, so they wear those clothes.

After the ceremony, students gather and take pictures. This is precious time, they spend time with friends one last time. 

Exam, Closing Ceremony

After the sports festival, students have to prepare for the exam. Usually, school has exams twice in a semester. End of the July, we have the closing ceremony. 

• Speeches by president of high school.

• Sing school song and national song.

• Receive the report card.

Summer break in U.S, starts from early June to end of the August.

 The differences between Japan and America is the lengths of vacation. Japanese schools have only one month, on the other hands, America has almost three months. It's the best time to go trip with family.

From the August, Japanese students get into the summer break. 

• Go to Grandparents house for Obon.

• Go to sea and pool

• Students have many assignments such as drill workbooks, book report, independent research.

The end of August, the new academic year will start. Students needs to prepare for the new semester. 

<School Festival>

After starting the new semester, there is another big event for students which is school Festival. 

Each class open one program such as food service , a haunted house, and display a photo booth. 

Students can have opportunities to meet new people who didn't talk much last semester. 

In the United States, new academic year starts on September, and homecoming is the first big event for students. 

People, towns, high schools and colleges come together, usually in late September or early October, to welcome back former members of the community. 

In middle of 2nd semester, many clubs have tournaments.

They get over hard training during summer, then they do their best on competitions. 

Halloween is very big event for American students. They wear costumes and go to school. Some people do very high quality costumes, others do unique one. 

Another big differences between Japan and U.S is pumpkin curving. People prepare own pumpkin, and curve it. They create own pumpkin.

Final exam affects a lot for their grade. Students take more than 10 subject's exams in 3-4 days. For some people who got worth scores in mid-term exam, final exam is the last chance to get better scores. 

During the exam week, there is no club activity, but classes are as usual. 

Thanksgiving is an annual event which is celebrated in the State and Canada. 

This is very important event for people, so they go back their home, and enjoy the holiday. 

4th Thursday of November, people gather with family and friends then, eat turkey and pumpkin pie.

From the end of December to middle January, Japanese students have winter break.  Some people enjoy Christmas with their boyfriends and girlfriends. In the New Year, people gather with their family and eat osetsi which is traditional Japanese food. 

Final exam week is very important to decide student's grade. 

There is study days which has no class, students can focus on their final. Many people prepare for it, so they go to library in a whole day. 

After the new year break, there are very important days for third grade students. Usually, many students apply 3 or 4 school to get a affirmation. 

Students have already applied  the test on September to October. When students take more than three subjects, the cost is 180$, less than two costs 120$.

After the New Year break, spring semester will start.  

Spring semester is January to May. 

Marathon race can be the last event of high school except for graduation ceremony. 

To be honest, this event is very hard for many people because they don't like to run in cold outside.  

Students run around 10 km.  It's said that length of running related to how smart school is. If you enter a smarter school, the length can be longer than others. Some people hates this event, so they chooes different schools.

Valentine's day for American is the day people show their love, respect to important person who are not only partner but family.

Also, people gave chocolates, and message cards to your friends and family. 

In Japan, it's common to express their feeling from women.

In America, Men and Women shows their feeling. They don't have "white day" because that day strats from Japan.

Basically, the detail is similar to entrance ceremony.

After the ceremony, students gather and take pictures. This is precious time, they spend time with friends one last time. 

Easter is a special event for Catholic. The date of Easter changes every year. It is the first Sunday after the full moon that occurs on or after the spring equinox. Originally, Easter is a religious celebration, but it changes to celebrate the beginning of spring. They spend time with their family and do party like Christmas.
