School Learning Action Cells (SLAC)

On October 25, 2024, Sagbuco Elementary School successfully conducted its third School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) session for SY 2024-2025. The session, held at the office of the school head, gathered all teaching and non-teaching personnel to engage in collaborative learning aimed at improving instructional support for learners.

The SLAC session was spearheaded by Mr. Carlo Vic C. Verzano, the school head, with Ms. Debbie G. Sobremisana facilitating the discussions. The session focused on two key topics:

1. The Components of Literacy Instruction, presented by Ms. Jessel G. Idea; and

2. Mental Health Awareness and Stress Management, delivered by Ms. Raymonette Jane B. Geolina.

The Fourth School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Session for SY 2024-2025 was successfully conducted on January 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the office of the school head. The session aimed to foster collaborative learning among teachers, enhance instructional competencies, and address shared challenges in the school setting.

The session was led by Mr. Carlo Vic C. Verzano, School Head, with Ms. Mary Grace R. Taganas and Ms. Gladys F. Paquinol serving as LAC Facilitators. The topics covered were:

• PRIMALS Plus (Ms. Mary Grace R. Taganas)

• Making of Contextualized/Localized Learning Materials for Reading & Mathematics (Ms. Gladys F. Paquinol)

Teachers actively participated in discussions, sharing best practices and insights on improving instruction and resource development. The collaborative exchange provided valuable strategies for enhancing learner engagement and academic support.
