I joined the Etrê community during the start of covid, 2020. I became a part of their board quickly. Etrê is an organization that promotes women empowerment by promoting mentorship and exploration of various fields. After becoming part of the board I wanted to do more. I realized that the organization had various area and aspects covered on their website, but I noticed how the impact of stereotypes was not mentioned. I saw this problem and sought to fix it. I interviewed various high school females as well as women in various fields. I then created a section on the organizations website addressing stereotypes and their impact. I also added an area where girls who read the page can interact and share their own story which can be added to the page. Not only did I immersive myself into the organization in these ways I also partnered with the organization to create a TEDx talk. I was able to create a ted talk about the importance of linguistics as well as the problems with definitions of words. I was able to record as well as write my own script. Overall, by working with this organization I have learned so much about myself and my personal identity, but also about the importance of mentorship as well as speaking up if you want to change something.Athena Racing

Our final pitch presentation was given to 13 members of the racing and automotive industry along with the Athena Racing Board of Directors. Since the start of the summer of 2022 I have taken part in working at a local Indian/Pakistani Restaurant called Rolls and Curries. Here I have not only learned the process of taking orders as well as serving costumers, I have also learned marketing techniques that the owner has been using to promote her restaurant being both half Indian and half Pakistani. I took an active role this summer in taking over the restaurants instagram as well as tik tok page. I would come in and work on making videos and taking angles of the best food and the busiest times of the day. I would display the restaurant in a way that would bring even more people in. Over the summer I was able to gain the knowledge of what it takes to run as well as sustain a restaurant. These tips and tricks that I learned not only helped me excel and help the restaurant Rolls and Curries, but it was also great as it helped me come up with ideas for the organizations that I am part of as well as the clubs and hobbies that I haveCoding

Over the summer of 2022 in the month of July I went to a city called, Bangalore, in South India. There I taught 3 classes of government school children photography. I worked under the organization HCL. I was put under an employee of their's named Sakshi. She guided me through the process and gave me a rough itinerary. I was tasked with creating slides as well as teaching the children with the small amount of resources that I was given. During this set of 2 weeks I was able to get the kids interested in photography and help them explore a new concept and idea in the world. I was able to gain many skills such as patience, adaptability, and cooperation. Those skills are just the bare minimum of what I was able to learn and explore from the experience. I was also given the opportunity to take my own photographs. I went to the slum area in India two times. I went around and took snapshots of the area as well as the people, trying to capture as much as I could. I also worked under a newspaper photographer in North India towards the end of my trip, who was capturing a famous Indian holiday known as Kaver. It was interesting to see how fast paced the a newspaper photographer needs to be. Overall, from this experience I was able to gain so much from skills to even just learning about my own culture as various fields in photography, it was a great way to immerse myself in a passion of mine.Soccer
I started to play soccer when I was in 4th grade. Ever since 4th grade I fell in love with the sport. I still play soccer. I have been playing club as well as school soccer for as long as I can remember. Soccer has always been the place where I could release my energy, express myself in another way, as well as come together with my team and achieve a goal. I have always put in 100% of my effort. When I noticed an area that I struggled in I made sure to work on it, while it was either running everyday to increase my stamina, to even going to the field and practicing to improve my shots and dribbling skills. The journey that I have been on for so long with soccer has taught me skills such as teamwork, dedication, patience, as well as adaptability.Flag Raising
In 2019 with the help of my sister, together we created an event called the Indian Flag Raising in our town. We both communicated with the mayor as well as my towns council to create this event for the town's Indian Community to come together, but also for the town to come together to celebrate the Indian Community. In this event on India's independence day which is August 15th, we raise the Indian flag in-front of our town hall. We then as a community come together to listen to some speeches, songs, dances, and then we eat some Indian food together. This event is a great way to celebrate India as a country as well as the community.
