This presentation was part of my PED 434: Statistics and Assessment in Physical Education course. My classmates and I developed an assessment tool for a Tchoukball unit, using cognitive indicators, principles of trustworthy assessment design, and pretest data as our foundation. The assessment included questions and tasks that addressed all three learning domains, cognitive, psychomotor, and affective to provide a well-rounded measure of student success in Tchoukball. By incorporating these domains, we aimed to evaluate students' understanding, physical skills, and decision-making during gameplay. This project highlighted the vital role of assessment in physical education and emphasized how thoughtful data collection can shape and improve instructional planning.
Below are several examples of assessments I designed as part of my work in EDU 355: Physical Education Curriculum: Planning & Practice. These assessments were thoughtfully integrated into various lessons that I taught, allowing me to evaluate student learning, track progress toward lesson objectives, and adapt instruction based on student needs and performance.
