This map is apart of a larger report that is modeling potential habitat for the Callitropis Nootatenis (Alaska cedar) in the 2080s. This analysis takes five climate variables into account: mean annual temperature, mean annual precipitation, the number of frost free days, precipitation as snow, and the difference between the mean temperature of the coldest and warmest month. For the analysis I looked at the way in which these variables effect the present day habitat of the Alaska cedar and then compared that with how these variables are projected to look in the 2080s based off of the A1B climate scenario.
This map in particular illustrates the projected area in the 2080s that could be productive for the Alaska cedar. In order to create this dataset I used iterators and the raster calculator tool to filter the datasets down to just the variables I was focusing on. The use of iterators helped streamline the analysis and makes it easy to repeat with different input datasets in the future.
