We come together and share our Story of Us for all to see, and hopefully to inspire others into action. It was a challenging experience that showed us how much work we still need to put in to function cohesive community. In the end it is a true and sincere representation of us and what we are about.
More than just a week of experiences, we read, and read a lot on relational leadership practices. Here is my take on the readings, the experiences, and what relational leadership means to me.
Inspired by Marcus Youngs daily ritual presentation. Each morning, before I start work, I pickup my tool pouch from the work bench, unwrap it, and tie around my waste. It brings me comfort and security. A totem of protection. it has in fact saved me more than once. Evidenced by the photo left. With out my pouch I feel naked and exposed. Distracted enough that it becomes hard for me to work cleanly and smoothly. Thank you tool pouch for always being there for me, and thank you Marcus for showing us the calming and grounding in ritual.
