Reimagining HR for thriving workplaces - August thru October 2022
We take a deep deep dive into Justice, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion practices with Tim Cynova, Lauren Ruffin, Katrina Donald, and Nicola Carpenter. Conversations and exercises focused on creating evolving open workplaces that reflect and support the values of all involved. We first examined the underlying structures and energies that got us here by looking inward at our own personal bias and privilege and beyond at the influence and structures of our communities. We then touched on ways to break held assumptions and create hiring practices that reach and accommodate all types of applicants. We finish with tools, like infinity groups, and approaches to accepting new ways of working together and creating a culture change that is inclusive. Practices to elicit truth like affinity groups and tools to asses conflict avoidance like Thomas Kilmann's Conflict Modes Assessment. Certainly a crash course with plenty of material to grow with and reflect back on far into the future.
