"Rather than for Dies Irae, I meant this as a recommendation for the entire Shinza Bansho series with Dies Irae as the starting point. This is peak chuuni which has everything a chuuni fan could ever wish for. It’s full of over the top action and exaggerated prose. Shinza series is about the battle of gods for the throne which controls the entire multiverse. You get to experience the rule of different gods under the different series and how they are overthrown. It starts from the lawless stage of Sodom in Paradise Lost, to the law of recurrence in the modern world of Dies Iraes, and to the apocalyptic world of Kajiri Kamui Kagura. What stands out the most from Masada’s writing is how fleshed out the antagonists of the stories are, sometimes even more than the protagonists."
