Formal Essays
Formal essays allow you to demonstrate your critical writing, thinking, and reading skills and to explore ideas from class in more depth than the journals. These essays will range in length from 3-8 pages that adhere to a highly structured model that is defined in the class. The topic of each essay will deal with the theme for that particular unit.

Discussion journals give you the opportunity to practice writing with and about sources and to be prepared to enter class discussions.
Writing Process Work
Writing Process Work
Writing process work helps you avoid procrastination and allows me to give you feedback on your ideas and/or sources before you start to write the actual formal papers.
Final
Final
The class final will involve a written reflection.
