Rutherford Elementary PTA is a collective of parents, teachers and school administrators dedicated to helping children become resourceful students, responsible community members and respectful young citizens.
We actively raise funds and volunteer so we can best support our classrooms, enrich every-day learning experiences and advance educational opportunities. We work for every student across every area of the curriculum.
To maintain our PTA standing with the state, we must maintain 20 paid memberships each year. Becoming a member does not require any participation in events (although we hope you do!). Only paid members are allowed to vote during PTA meetings, when required.
Please help us maintain our PTA status and support our mission.
President
Stephanie Tack
Hello Rutherford Community!
My name is Stephanie Tack, and I am proudly serving as the Rutherford PTA President this year. My journey here began about five years ago when my husband, Tyler, and I followed family out east and made Stillwater our hometown. It has been a wonderful place to raise our family. Our son, James, is in first grade, and our daughter, Ingrid, is in preschool. As a family, we enjoy staying active in local sports. Whether we are boating in the summer, skiing in the winter, or cheering at flag football, lacrosse, dance, and gymnastics, we love being part of this active community. There is a very good chance you will bump into us around town!
Professionally, I work as a clinical psychologist. Because education and parenting are values I hold so deeply, investing my time in the PTA feels like a natural and rewarding fit. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the incredible people and dedicated processes that make Rutherford such a special place to be.
This year, our PTA's top priority continues to be supporting our teachers and students at the classroom level. We are also deeply committed to strengthening communication and sense of community. I am grateful for another school year filled with opportunities to create positive changes and quality experiences for all of our children. I can't wait to connect with you. See you at the next PTA event!

Our family moved to the area a few years ago, and we’ve loved becoming part of this community and enjoying all it has to offer. Professionally, I work full-time as an evaluation consultant, using data and collaboration to make a positive impact.

Ashley Brown
This is my first year on the PTA board and I am so excited to be part of this wonderful group! I have two children; one will be starting first grade and the other will be in preschool this year.
I grew up in Lake Elmo and went to school in the Stillwater district. My husband and I decided to move to Stillwater once we had kids because it's the best place to raise your family! We enjoy bike rides on Brown's Creek Trail and boating on the St. Croix.
I love getting involved in community events and can't wait to support Rutherford and its community by helping on the PTA!

Jeff and I grew up in Stillwater and are proud to be raising our kids in this beautiful town. We love going for nature walks, spending weekend mornings downtown Stillwater, visiting the North Shore and running around with our dog! :)
I work full-time as the Director of Volunteers at Special Olympics MN and believe heavily in the importance of volunteering and taking care of your community! I look forward to seeing you around Rutherford!
Member At Large
Hannah Hoffstatter
Hi, I'm Hannah Hoffstatter. My husband, Cory, and I are proud parents to our two children, Hattie and Cole. Hattie is starting 1st grade this fall, and Cole attends preschool.
As a family, we enjoy spending time together, traveling, exploring new places, traveling :) and making memories with our kids. Whether we're cheering on our favorite teams, enjoying outdoor activities, or planning our next family vacation, we love staying active and having fun together.
Professionally, I work in product management, where I enjoy collaborating with others, solving problems, and creating positive experiences. Those same interests are what drew me to the PTA. I value education, community involvement, and the important role that families play in supporting our schools.
I'm excited to be involved with the PTA and look forward to getting to know more families, supporting our teachers and staff, and helping create meaningful experiences for our students. I look forward to seeing you at future PTA events!
