To maintain our PTA standing with the state, we must maintain 20 paid memberships each year.  Becoming a member does not require any participation in events (although we hope you do!).  Only paid members are allowed to vote during PTA meetings, when required.

Hello there! I'm Kate Berg and I'm honored to once again serve as your PTA co-chair. This will be my fourth year on the board and I mean it when I say that each year just keeps topping the last! As a parent of two kids here at Rutherford and one at Stillwater Middle School, I care deeply about creating a positive, supportive, and enriching environment for all our students, teachers, and families in Stillwater. To me, our PTA is more than just an organization—it’s a partnership between school and home that helps build a stronger school community. My goal is to continue our work to foster open communication, encourage collaboration, and help make sure every voice is heard and valued. Oh, and throw in a whole heck of a lotta fun while I'm at it!

Hi!  I’m Kaira Bettin, and I am co-chair of the PTA with Kate this year.   I’m very excited to be part of the PTA Board!  I have never been an official member, but I have always been very active behind-the-scenes volunteering in various roles at the school and for the school for the past 7 years. My oldest son is Beckham and he is starting at Stillwater Middle this year. He is very active in hockey and lacrosse, and loves fishing and hunting!  My middle son is Bronson and he will be in 4th grade this year. He loves soccer, lacrosse, and flag football!  My daughter Briar will be starting kindergarten this year. She loves to dance and play Barbies and babies!  I am born and raised in Stillwater. I have been a stay at home mom for the past 6 years and prior to that I was a social worker for about 15 years. My passion is helping others and connecting people to resources.

Hi! I’m Elena Patton, and I’m excited to serve as the Communications Chair for the PTA this year. 

My son Rayland will be heading into 5th grade- he's a fun-loving kid who enjoys playing outside with his friends, swimming, collecting cool things, spending time with family, and squeezing in video games whenever he can. 

After living and traveling all over the United States, my husband and I decided to set down roots in Stillwater a couple of years ago to be closer to my family. We chose this area for its natural beauty and amazing school district—and it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made. I’m also the building substitute at Rutherford, a role I loved last year and am excited to continue this year.

I’m looking forward to a fun and connected year with the PTA and we feel incredibly lucky to be part of the Rutherford community!

Hi! I’m Lisa Tschida, and this will be my second year as the PTA secretary. I have thoroughly enjoyed being involved with the PTA, meeting other families, and participating in the various activities at Rutherford. My son, Jaxson, will be in second grade this year, and he loves playing baseball and soccer. I am excited for another year with so many amazing parents and all the great things we have planned!
