All DI and 2LT+ must train any recruit IMMEDIATELY, failure to do so will result in a strike. Don’t bicker with other DI, if caught arguing you will still be striked.
Senior Drill Sergeant+ can monitor training anytime.
Trainers and Recruits may not skip any part of training.
If a DI is striked it will carry over to their main branch, regardless of severity.
To call a PT, you must be a Master Drill Sergeant+ or have permission from a Drill Sergeant Lieutenant+.
If a DI calls PT, they may pick a maximum of 2 other DI to help, all other DI must participate in the PT and may not use DI as a “Get out of jail free card”. If the person calling PT is a lower rank than you according to other branches (EX. you’re COL, they’re 2LT) but still a higher rank than you in DI, you must listen to them as long as it has to do with the PT.
0. Before starting, remember a couple of things: Let the recruit ask questions in between each explanation, go over each aspect in detail, and treat every training like you’re being watched by the GOA.
1. Go over basic information: Saluting, Attachments, Sitting, Parachutes, And Proning.
2. Go over each of the faces at least once. Advanced faces such as inclines are not necessary, however sets of faces are recommended. (Ex. R L A L F - etc.)
3. Go over formations. *
4. Teach them how war works. Tell them about 1 point, 2 point, and full point wars.
5. Go over squads and radio.
6. Go over each of the branches and what rank they can transfer to that branch. Don’t just say the names and move on. *Also bring up cooldowns and how many times they can be promoted in a day or more as Enlisted, NCO, Officer, etc..
7. Go over Debrief protocol, including PTS rules, and what “At ease” means.
8. Talk about the shooting range rules, and tell them about trigger discipline.
9. Base tour. (Optional, ask recruit - you MUST show them where Debrief is.)
10. Go over spawn lines and limitations on the map.
11. Give Recruit the TeamSpeak link: ts.gaminglight.com and instruct them on how to get tags, and give the Recruit the Discord link:*
12. Make them change name to RU PVT (name) and whitelist for RU: Soldier
Kill House, Map tour, Vehicle systems, War tips, Raiding, Taliban, how to fix prone glitching, MOTD and any other information you want to include.
When training recruits the more you help them the more likely they are to stay on the server.
Formations * (Single/double column, Loose/tight wedge, Firing line on right shoulder, VIP/Kidnap diamond)
Teamspeak * (Tell them about having to be in teamspeak at all times after reaching CPL+)
Must be at least the rank of SGT
Must be active in Teamspeak
Cannot have a history of minging or disrespect
Trainer must be DSLT+
2LT’s are to be trained automatically as soon as they get their promotion.
Link them the DI informational and have them read it. When they finish, ask them some on the spot questions and have them answer you. If they answer 3 questions wrong, they automatically fail. Ask 5 questions at most, they can be about anything in the informational.
Become a recruit and have them mock train you.
Restart if they skip any section or fail to train you. If you have to restart more than 3 times, they fail and must try again after the next war.
Act like a dumb recruit, but don't be too much of a hassle.
If they finish the training in under a minute and a half, start over and count it towards the 3 fail limit.
If they pass, give them the DST whitelist and have them log their first few trainings with notepad or video. You also have the option to monitor some of their trainings, and you can promote them based on your judgement.
When they recruit 5 new people and show their proof, have someone or yourself rank them up to DS.
