Insurance Confirmation
When the board went to renew the Grove liability policy this winter, a some issues presented themselves.
In the past, it was acceptable for the Association to insure (only) the Common Areas of the grove with the expectation that the leaseholders would insure their personal property and leased land. In today’s world this is no longer acceptable. The bottom line is that the Association must have liability insurance for the entire parcel of land including the leased lots. In turn we must require that each leased lot have a minimum of $300,000 worth of liability insurance. The reasoning is that in the event of an accident, BOTH the leasehold member and the Association could get sued. We will not be able to get insurance coverage without proving that our leaseholders also have coverage.
We have also been advised to require each leaseholder to have a minimum of $30,000 worth of property insurance. We expect most members already have a great deal more property insurance.

Rental Form
This is a fillable form which you need to complete when you rent your camp. Based on the 2021 Handbook, page 11: Notifications: In order to provide for the safety, security and peaceful enjoyment of existing leaseholders and their guests, any leaseholder renting their camp shall provide at a minimum 24 hours prior to the rental period, to their District Director and near neighbors: in person, by US mail, or email, a completed RGCA Rental Notification Form (provided on the RGCA website or by the District Director). The document shall contain leaseholder and renter information as required by the Board of Directors, and a certification signed by the leaseholder that the renter has been provided with a copy of the “RUBACK’S GROVE CAMPERS ASSOCIATION, Inc. RULES and REGULATIONS SUMMARY“. Near neighbors must attempt to contact the leaseholder using the contact information on the form received if any issues arise with the renters during their occupancy period.
The primary guest using the leasehold shall be accounted for on the form submitted by the member. Guests are not entitled to invite other guests.
