Membership Review Committee
RGCA President will annually appoint a Membership Review Committee (MRC) of twelve Grove Members (ideally, two from each district) to interview perspective RGCA members and make a membership recommendation to the Board of Directors.
The twelve MRC names and contact information will be provided to the six District Directors.
MRC procedures:
The Secretary will collect, electronically whenever possible, contact information regarding the perspective member(s) and forward to the President.
The President will contact the District Director where the perspective member will reside.
The District Director will contact two to three members of the MRC to form an interview committee for the perspective member.
a) One member of the MRC shall be a near neighbor of the perspective member.
b) The District Director may chair the MRC or assign another MRC member as the chair.
The President will provide written guidance to the Chair person on interview protocols and a copy of the RGCA Handbook to give the perspective members.
The MRC Chair will email, following the meeting, the MRC’s recommendation to the President.

By-Laws Article VIII Section 3(b)
(b) Application for membership in the Association and for lease or reassignment of campsites shall be investigated by a membership committee appointed by the President, and consisting of at least three adjacent (when feasible) campsite Association members and chaired by the section’s District Director. When the appropriate District Director is not available, the President will appoint another District Director to chair the committee. The President shall submit the report of the Membership Committee to the Board of Directors. Affirmative vote of the Board of Directors in accordance with Article VIII, Section 4, shall constitute an order to the President and Secretary of the Association to accept the applicant or applicants into membership in the Association and to issue or reassign the lease. Current members wishing to add or delete names from their lease must notify the Secretary of this intention by June 15th. The membership committee meeting must be completed on or before Labor Day of the year the lease change is requested.
