Internal Affairs Complaints are a means of filing a complaint against an Officer for misconduct within their duties. These complaints aren't always specific to certain divisions an Officer is part of, however as an RTO you're expected to always conduct yourself to the highest standard. If an Internal Affairs complaint is filed against an RTO and it's clear they have violated any PLPD Policies or Procedures they could face further internal disciplinary action.
The Road Traffic Command reserves the right to discipline any RTOs following an Internal Affairs complaint or blatant evidence of misconduct. All Officers will have the chance to provide a justification before any action is taken however If necessary this can be overruled on agreement of the Head of Traffic and Head of General Operations. Internal Disciplinary can follow under one of the following: Mandatory Retraining, A talk with Traffic Command, A Supervised Patrol, Suspension from Traffic or Removal from the division.
All RTTs can be subject to the normal disciplinary action for a Traffic Officer however they can also be subject to disciplinary action through their administrative roles. If a Road Traffic Trainer is not seen as up to standard they will also be subject to Internal Disciplinary. Road Traffic Command reserves the right to remove any Road Traffic Trainer from their role if they're not performing to the standard required of them.
