The Amptique (by Dale Black) is a "nostalgic park flyer" from the early days of electric powered flying models.
The original design featured 3 channel radio control (rudder, elevator, throttle) with a polyhedral wing.
The model is very easy to build (from mainly balsa) and also easy to fly, with gentle and forgiving flight characteristics.
Following a plan obtained courtesy of James Penketh, I decided to build a modern version for 4 channel control by replacing the polyhedral with ailerons.
The pictures show various stages of construction and the finished model.
