Christian's M-Ninja E "Big Red"
Loosely based on the SIG Ninja slope soarer, the M-Ninja (where M stands for "Mutant" or "Modified") is my own design 1.9 m wing span, 4 channel glider, with ailerons, flaps, stabilator and rudder.
Originally built from scratch between 1996 and 1998 (Pic 01), I converted it to electric in 2011 by installing a 3530 brushless motor driving a 9x5 folding prop.
It was now a 5 channel model and renamed M-Ninja E, where the E stands for "Electric" (Pic 02).
In October 2016, I refurbished the wing by replacing the hinges and the wing covering, and I expanded to 7 channels (four servos in the wing instead of two), thus adding functionalities such as full length ailerons, variable undercamber and crow braking (Pic 03).
