RSG - Brazil

RSG-Brasil is a student organization affiliated with the International Society for Computational Biology (iscbsc.org) , with the objective of developing the field of research in bioinformatics and computational biology in Brazil, by promoting events and integration among Bioinformatics students and the research community in Brazil, and offer support to Bioinformatics students at the beginning of their careers in the area. RSG-Brazil also seeks to do more is to promote events and integration between Bioinformatics students and the research community in Brazil, and to offer support to Bioinformatics students at the beginning of their career in the area.

Brazilian Student Council Symposium

(BR-SCS)

The ISCB Regional Student Group Brazil (RSG-Brasil), reactivated in 2015, in its fourth year of activities, built a solid event that fosters the development of the next generation of bioinformaticians and computational biologists in Brazil. After its second edition, the Brazilian Student Council Symposium (BR-SCS) was integrated into the official programme of AB3C - Brazilian Association of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology - as an annual meeting of students, preceding the conference of the association. The students' event is singular in presenting an opportunity for students to showcase their work in a place with high visibility of the Brazilian Bioinformatics community, while bringing important topics for the training of future professionals. The inclusion in this national event was a major accomplishment, allowing students from all regions of Brazil to reunite.

Pioneer of Bioinformatics in Latin America, Brazil has a wide range of talents who are potential recipients of training, each with different needs in terms of which skills and / or knowledge. Within this universe, multidisciplinary profiles capable of developing algorithms and methodologies for research in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology stand out.

With this, to collaborate in the continuous training of complete professionals capable of providing an arsenal of knowledge and specialties to solve problems in / in the real world, using the tooling of bioinformatics and computational biology as a scientific method, we present the I Brazilian League of Bioinformatics ( LBB), a project created by ISCB RSG-Brazil (www.rsg-brazil.iscbsc.org) in partnership with AB3C (https://www.ab3c.org.br/site/), to stimulate, promote and develop human resources and skills in Bioinformatics at an international level. We believe that this promotion of this type of event in the federation, is essential for the knowledge network to grow and develop consistently.

RSG Brazil pocast

The Podcast is a form of audio publication, available on different audio platforms or specialized for that use, which aims to chat, debate or offer information. In the digital age or Podcast, he became a radio companion, bringing content through the Internet.

Currently, several groups use the Podcast for scientific dissemination in different ways with different themes. Our goal is to take the formality of concepts, techniques and discussions within the theme of Bioinformatics informally.
