The People Behind RSA
The People Behind RSA
Great arts programs are built by great people.
At Roosevelt School of the Arts, our greatest strength is the remarkable team of people who bring this program to life. RSA brings together credentialed arts educators, working professional artists, technical and production specialists, accompanists, instructional assistants, program support staff, and leadership—all united by a shared commitment to providing students with an exceptional arts education.
Our staff represents an extraordinary range of knowledge and experience. Some have dedicated their careers to arts education. Others actively work within their artistic fields and bring that professional experience directly to our students. Still others provide the technical, operational, and specialized support that makes RSA’s ambitious calendar of performances, productions, exhibitions, festivals, trips, and events possible.
What connects them is a belief in young artists and what they are capable of becoming.
RSA students are known. They are challenged. They are encouraged to take risks, develop their craft, work collaboratively, and hold themselves to increasingly high artistic standards. Our staff understands that excellence doesn't happen all at once—it is built through instruction, practice, mentorship, opportunity, persistence, and the presence of adults who see potential in students and help them learn to see it in themselves.
And while our disciplines may be different, we are one arts community. Teachers, artists, technicians, musicians, support professionals, and staff work together to create an environment where creativity is taken seriously, individuality is valued, and students are surrounded by people who understand the importance of the arts in their lives.
These are the people behind the performances, the music, the choreography, the artwork, the productions, and the opportunities. More importantly, they are the people behind our students—helping each new generation of RSA artists discover just how much they are capable of creating.
