The RSA Choir program is a vibrant community of singers where students develop their voices, strengthen their musicianship, and discover the extraordinary experience of creating music together. Whether a student arrives with years of vocal training or is just beginning to discover what their voice can do, there is a place to begin—and a pathway to grow.

Our sequential program allows singers to advance as their skills, confidence, and artistry develop. Mixed Choir provides new and developing singers with a strong foundation in vocal technique, musicianship, ensemble singing, and performance. From there, students have the opportunity progress into our Treble Choir, where intermediate and advanced singers take on increasingly sophisticated repertoire and performance expectations.

At the highest level, Performing Arts Singers, also known as PA Singers, brings together RSA’s advanced vocalists. Here, accomplished student musicians are challenged to perform with greater independence, precision, expression, and artistry while representing the excellence of the RSA Choir program.

But choir at RSA is about more than learning to sing well. Students learn to listen, blend, lead, collaborate, take artistic risks, and trust one another. Every singer contributes something essential to the ensemble, creating the kind of connection that can only happen when individual voices become one.

From a student's first rehearsal to the moment they step onto the stage as an advanced performer, RSA Choir offers a place to belong, a voice to develop, and a musical journey to grow into.

Choir Program Classes:

Mixed Choir: The Mixed Choir is an entry level ensemble with the sole purpose of developing the individual singer. Throughout the course, students will be learning musical concepts, vocal technique, and performance techniques. Students will also be given a diverse musical experience. They will be exposed to music from different cultures, languages, as well as time periods. The goal of this course is to create community and explore our musical instruments in a space that embraces mistakes.
Women's Choir Advanced: The Advanced Women's Ensemble is the premiere treble chorus on campus. The goal of this auditioned ensemble is to focus on more difficult choral music to continue the growth of a singer as an individual as well as a choral member. Throughout this course, students spend dissecting, understanding, and performing music from different cultures, languages, and time periods. The goal of this course is to continue the advancement of an individual's musical journey.
Performing Arts Singers: The PA Singers is a premiere choral ensemble that is a mixture of Tenor Bass voices as well as Treble voices. This ensemble strives to achieve the highest tier of musicality while also creating a space that allows for creativity to blossom. Throughout this course we spend time focusing on musical concepts and vocal techniques that allow for the musical advancement of the individual singer as well as the ensemble. Students will also be exposed to a wide range of repertoire that broadens their horizons and gives them a greater understand of music and the world we live in, past and present.
