With 95% of the country's land covered in dense forest, it's no wonder that Raan has become a haven for fur-covered animals. Luckily for the Raera, these present the perfect opportunity for the basis of an economy.

The biological traits of the Raera (hermaphroditic/same hair, skin, and eye colour) has resulted in a society where the strongest and/or smartest Raera takes control. Emperor Raewyn III is the third of his family, but did not get the throne through his name alone - he beat the other contenders in violent sparring matches to solidify his place. Other countries think Raan is a weird and dangerous place, and a strong phobia of Raera exists due to this.

Emperor Raewyn III is an accomplished hunter and has established a huge museum dedicated to his trophies. He isn't a diplomat, though, and none of the other leaders like his company.
