Illusionists are highly specialized mages who focus on messing with other people's perceptions of the world. They are a rare class but also variable in power, ranging from casting small mind tricks to completely changing an object's appearance. Tullë, pictured above, uses his illusions for the creation of outlandish fashion, but has also been known to make his house invisible to the naked eye. The only limit to their ability is imagination.
Want to mislead your opponent into thinking he's actually in an empty field? Wandering through poisonous miasma? Illusionists can whip up a quick something to play with an enemy's mind and weaken or intimidate them. It's important to note that an Illusionist isn't changing reality (Tullë is still a normal-looking Viël under there) but adjusting the way it's viewed - they can't actually harm somebody unless their illusion convinces them to hurt themselves. As such, the old 'snake in your boot' trick is a time-tested classic.
If you thought worldbuilding was escapism, think again! Illusionists often live in their own little fantasy worlds, 'creating' them through illusions and forcing other people to join in. It's probably not healthy, but there's no real harm in making your house look better than it is, or changing your features so you look more appealing. Since their illusions can cover the five senses, they don't need to buy perfume or fancy clothes either. The power Illusionists hold is envied by the masses.
Tullë (pictured above):
Tullë is an enigma of a person. He lives alone in a small cottage hidden away in the mountains, sometimes literally made invisible to observers by Tullë himself. He was born as an Illusionist - a one-time occurrence - and is ridiculously strong at the young age of 25. He's also a fashion icon, using his illusionary abilities to create clothing impossible with RPGverse's available materials. Even though the Viël can't remake his clothes, they try to incorporate his style into their own, so cloaks, ankle boots and ombré hair are all very 'cool' in Viërra.
