Elementalists are able to conjure magic from any alignment of crystal. They are generalists, although some may choose to focus on specific elements. It is still extremely difficult for them to master all types of magic. An Elementalist will always carry multiple crystals compared to other mage classes who may only have one on their person. Unfortunately it can be end up pretty expensive for them.
An Elementalist is the ultimate mage when it comes to adaptability in battle. They have everything from conjuring fireballs, to earthquakes, to mass darkness in their arsenal. Like other mages, they stay in the back lines so they can cast magic with less vulnerability. Armies love to have Elementalists in their ranks since they can fill practically any role.
Being an Elementalist helps out with a lot of small inconveniences in life. Need to freeze food? Need to cook it again? Need to light your house via magic? They are able to do all of these things and more, while other mages are stuck lighting candles like plebeians. Lots of Elementalists end up working in hospitality or service industries because of their general usefulness. Queen Fëren uses her abilities to help run her cities' lighting and heating. She has a huge (public) garden that she maintains with water and earth magic.
Fëren edet Delal (pictured):
Fëren is the current queen of Viërra, the home country of the Viël. She's an extremely powerful mage from an equally powerful family, and was crowned over her siblings because of her extraordinary abilities. The Viël are known to to idolize Fëren. She is a kind leader, with a strong grip on her country's political wishes and a distaste for those who try to diminish her strength in parliament.
In Phiera, the country's capital city, Fëren takes time in the morning and night to heat the huge water tanks that supply its inhabitants with fresh water, allowing her citizens to bathe without the labor associated with it, an impressive feat that has solidified her approval rating. She also makes efforts to light the city and heat its homes during cold nights.
