We have an annual outing for gardeners; for example Barnsdale Gardens, the gardens set up by Geoff Hamilton.

In 2024 we are planning an outing to the Botanical Gardens in Cambridge.
The cost is £15.50 per person includes entry to the garden and the guided tour.
We will travel from Royston at 9.30am car sharing to the Park and Ride at Trumpington, we will then travel by bus to the Botanic Garden.

Explore the different Garden sections from tropical glasshouses to British wildflowers.

Always sow too many of some types of seeds, and don't end up with enough of others? Got a billion plants popping up? Panicking you’ve nowhere to put all this glorious new life? Realising you have no brussels sprouts? Relax, it happens to the best of us. 

Join us for a seedling swap, bring your unwanted plantlings and maybe pick up a few new ones that you can make room for. Take what you need: Donations towards RAGA are welcome. 

We’ll be putting on hot drinks and nibbles. Come for a natter with your plot neighbours and maybe pick up something you’ve not grown before.

We are always very grateful for extra pairs of hands for a variety of site maintenance jobs. On the day we will let you know what needs doing and find a job you are comfortable with. This year we hope to complete jobs including maintenance of our storage cabin, repairs to our gazebo used for the open day, installation of our new ICB and general cleaning and tidying of shared areas; even if you can only pop down and make a brew for the others it’s all welcome and a nice chance to meet fellow plot holders.

Each year we hold an Open Day so that anybody that is interested in allotments and gardening can visit us and see what we do on the site. It's a great fun, family day - with games and stalls including home baking and BBQ!

This is normally on the Second Sunday in August. Please see the 'News' section for current details!
Our 2024 Open Day will be held on Sunday 11th August.

You may like to visit us at our AGM - held each year in September. It usually includes a guest speaker, for example Former Head Gardener at Wimpole Hall, Philip Whaites, gave a great talk in 2019.

2023 AGM will be on Thursday 14th September. 2024 to be confirmed

Our seed ordering scheme, using King's seeds, has been in operation for very many years and enables members to buy their seeds and other sundry items at very reasonable prices for delivery to the site!
We also have special arrangements for the ordering of Onion Sets and Potato Seed in the Autumn for delivery the following February.
