Open Day - 14th August 2022

Put the date in your diary! Come along on Sunday 14th August for our Allotment Open Day. There will be BBQ, cake stall, raffle and kids activities.

Update:

We celebrated a successful Open Day in August, marred only by the extreme hot temperatures. The day was well attended. There was excellent representation from local councillors. Royston Mayor judged the Jams, Chutneys, and Pickles competition. NHDC councillor Chris Hinchliffe judged the photography competition. There was a good selection of entries in the ‘Top Tray’ competition. We launched a petition to advocate for more allotment provision for Royston. The profits have been reinvested in manure wheelbarrows and repairs to picnic tables.

Top Tray Competition: Gold: Janet Burton, Plot 25c / Silver: Mick Griggs, Plot 20D / Bronze: Vicki Seddon, Plot 32C
Jam: Chris Morgan, Plot 6A
Pickle: Liz Breeze, Plot 11A
Chutney: Liz Breeze, Plot 11A
Photography: Nicole Morgan, Plot 6A
