Fundraising

Fundraising activities support the entire pack and are an essential element to the scouting program. Beyond dues, packs need additional funds for a host of necessities, including special events and camping. Our main pack-wide fundraising project every fall is our popcorn fundraiser. 

Scout Membership – Earn your own Way for all - OPTIONAL

50% commission will be offered to any Scout or Leader that wishes to earn their 2024 national annual membership fee. Fees for 2024 will be $85 per Scout and $65 per adult plus $1 for liability insurance coverage. Please note any changes to national annual membership fees will

be updated by September 1, 2024.

• Participation is at the Scout or leader level – no unit liability or coordination

• Applies to Online, Online Direct, and Take Order only

• No Scout/leader will receive product in advance of sales

• Scout/leader must register and track all sales in Trail’s End app under

o District > Membership ONLY

o Unit > Select your primary Unit

• Sales tracked under any other district/unit will not be transferred and are not eligible for

the Membership 50% commission structure

• Scout/leader may earn the full national annual membership and insurance fee

o Scout may sell up to $172 - $86 earned

o Leader may sell up to $132 - $66 earned

• Unit dues are not eligible

• Any cash collected must be reconciled using the Pay Now feature in the app

• In November 2024, commission will be transferred to the unit registration account at the Frank Fickett Scout Center

o The participant and Unit Committee Chair will receive notification of funds deposited and amount applied for each participating Scout/leader

o No funds will be distributed to the participant

Popcorn Training (From Capital Area Council)

If you were unable to make it to the Popcorn Leader Orientation on August 3, don’t worry! At 5:30pm on August 22 (prior to the regularly scheduled Zoom Office Hours) there will be a second chance orientation on Zoom. This will last about 30 minutes and there will be an opportunity for questions.
