Student-centered learning allows students to engage in their own education and choose how they learn. The use of technology in this type of learning is crucial, as it can be more individualized and allows students to take more creativity in their learning. Student-centered learning with technology allows each student to work at their own pace and customizes education and lessons to their specific needs. However, the use of technology brings in various challenges, with increased distractions, required levels of technology literacy, and the struggle to find sites that integrate learning fully into the games/creative side. When teaching in a student-centered instruction style, educators could face issues with learning being too personalized, to the point where teacher aid has to be specialized and not general. To prepare for these difficulties, I would seat students of similar learning levels together to help each other in these lessons and, if needed, bring small groups to my desk to help one-on-one.
