Enhanced Student Participation
Seminars organized by student organizations are not just for the sake of organizational requirement, it serves as an avenue where students can pick-up life lessons, and experiences from notable guest speakers, trainers, and even inspirational speakers.
Collaborations with other schools
It has been a club-long duty as the Psychology Society to extend its influence to external groups, from the UP Psychology Society, even to other schools across our country. No matter how far it is, we try our best to expand our influence in upholding the principles of Psychology. Compassion and Knowledge knows no bounds, it transcends through distance and persists through time.
Strengthening Inclusivity
As Psychology students, we are aware that building an environment where inclusivity thrives is an important aspect for growth. Allowing students to freely express their concerns and thoughts allows it to thrive, may it be expressed in a straightforward manner or in a creative expression like the arts.
Psych Up!
Across countless quizzes, endless reviews, and numerous reportings, burn out is a probable result when a student does not rest amidst the myriad of schoolworks and even personal or organization matters. Psych Up! is a student led initiative wherein students can get free refreshments like juice, energy drinks, or biscuits.
Psych Up can be a way where students can momentarily freshen up, or rest even for a little while by taking a short, sweet or juicy break. Just as the quote says, “Padayon, at Pahuway.” which means goodluck on your journey but also remember to rest. To ensure the safety of the students, we will ensure that packed refreshments will be disseminated, like zest-o juices or fudgee bar sandwich cakes. It is also inclusive for people who do not drink coffee or are lactose intolerant, and of course, we should ensure that the student will not have allergic reactions to it.
Remember, resting for a while does not mean you gave up. It only means that you are preparing yourself for what is ahead on the long journey !
Siko-mustahan
Siko-mustahan is an initiative where students can freely express their concerns, thoughts, and worries without worrying about being judged because of their opinions, similar to a welfare check. It will also serve as a semestral break where students can build and improve bonds with their fellow psychmates.
A little kamusta can be meaningful for someone who is going through a hard time, it also opens doors to foster inclusivity. Everyone can freely express their thoughts and is entitled to it as it is an inherent human right of a person, and no one should be deprived of such right.
Through this, not only the students gain important knowledge in their journey, but also gain new friends along the way !! :))
To you [#] years ago, from you [#] years ago
To you [#] years ago, from you [#] years ago is a year-end event wherein psychmates can send a letter to their future self, a few years later and a letter for their present self. It is similar to the concept of ‘time capsule’ wherein they can store mementos that they can look back to after a specific timeframe.
This event aims to motivate students that someday, they can look back at how far they have achieved.
Ex-psy-ting News!
Ex-psy-ting News! is a monthly subscription to a student-led newsletter where its contents include the events that were conducted during that month, and even letters to the editor which serves as an update to students who may have missed the event and suggestions they may have wanted to raise.
