Filling the Frame

In this picture taken with an iphone, portrait mode was utilized to help blur the background and focus only on the flowers. The image was taken from above at close range in order to minimize the background.

I debated if I should take a picture of the flower arrangement vs only the flowers. With this picture I wanted to capture the flowers in bloom, so the picture was taken from above to avoid wasting any space with the additional details.

Symmetry

This picture taken with an iphone was that of the top of the fireplace. However I used filters to create an older look similar to a heritage building. In addition the picture was taken at an angle to change scale and make it look like a building with a row of windows.

Portrait

This picture was taken in portrait mode with the additional filter of stage light. In addition, I edited the picture to take out some of the shadows on the face that occur when pictures are taken in sunlight. I chose the black background to give it the photo studio effect.

The picture was actually taken outdoors with plenty of sunlight but by using the black background it gives the impression of a picture taken in a studio.
