Tim Norris will be talking about measures being taken to attract swifts back to Romsey.
Swifts are now reliant on accessing their nests through small gaps in the eaves of our homes. But as our homes are fitted with loft insulation and our fascias and soffits are repaired with uPVC they have declined by about 70% in the last 30 years. But there is good news as Swifts can easily be helped by the installation of nesting boxes. Come and hear about these amazing birds that can spend most of their lives without ever landing, and hear how you can help them.
As this is likely to be a popular talk and places are limited, please book your seat by contacting Kate Allen at kate.allen49@googlemail.com with the name(s) of attendees.
