PAW PRINTS from the Principal

May 13, 2012

Good evening cougar parents. This is Shejuanna Rodgers, Principal of Rolesville Elementary school, with your weekly update.

Thanks to all who helped out during our Staff Appreciation week. It was a wonderful week and could not have been successful without the help of our parent volunteers.

Our final General PTA meeting for the year will take place on Monday, May 14th at 6:30 in the media center. In addition to discussing year end events, we will be voting on a budget and officers for next year. All parents and staff are encouraged to attend.

3rd through 5th grade students will be taking End-Of-Grade tests on May 16, 17, 18 and Tuesday May 22. Testing will begin promptly at 9:30 each day. Students will not be permitted in the testing area once the session has started. Please make sure that your child is well rested and on-time to help ensure a successful testing experience.

Join us for the Cougar Carnival on May 19th from 4-7 pm, behind the school. There will be food, games, facepainting, prizes, bounce houses, a DJ...and SO much more!! There will also be a Silent Auction, with amazing baskets to bid on! All the money raised goes back to help our school.

Parents, please remember that carpool is to be used in the mornings and afternoons. Students should not be dropped off in the front of the school building in the morning.

This concludes the cougar weekly update for May 14-18. This message can be viewed on our Rolesville Elementary website under Paw Prints from the Principal tab.
