COVID-19 FAQ FOR MARCHING BAND
Frequently Asked Questions RIGHT NOW (during the uncertainty of the Covid 19 pandemic).
What safety precautions are in place for the 2021 season?
All students will wear masks inside RHS facilities. All students performing on wind instruments will be provided players masks (flute players with shields). While outside, students will maintain a 6-12 foot radius while practicing drill, and encouraged to social distance and wear masks during breaks.
Due to Covid 19, my family is having some financial hardships. What if we cannot pay for band equipment?
We understand that many members of our community have been financially impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic. As always our Band Boosters are there to provide financial support for those who need it. Families in need of assistance need only to contact Mrs. Ayer for assistance. We are here to support our students and their families. Everyone needs music right now, and we are committed to reducing the financial stress on ALL of our band families.
What if we don’t have band camp? Will we have a marching show/season?
Yes! The 2021 Marching Season will still exist. We are working with the CIAC guidelines as well as the CDC recommendations to provide a safe and healthy environment for all students.
Will we have a fall marching season?
Yes. We will wait to see if there are changes as we move forward.
