  • Bibbers
  • Jacket
  • Show Shirt (under jacket)
  • Shako (beret for tuba, none for pit percussion)
  • Hat
  • Overcoat
  • Drill Masters

  • Black Gloves (none for percussion)

Color Guard Uniform:

  • Custom Guard Uniform
  • Appropriate undergarments/longsleeves/pants etc
  • Black/Tan Prowlers (depending on uniform)

  1. Uniforms are inspected before every performance. Make sure you have all the parts and accessories. If full uniform is not worn, student will not perform. Hats and overcoats will be brought to all competitions.
  2. All hair must be up up under shakos. (Students are responsible for any additional air ties, pins, bandannas, or hair bands that are necessary so that all hair is completely under shakos)
  3. ALWAYS exhibit great pride and exemplary behavior while wearing the Rockville uniform. Always keep your uniform clean and wrinkle free and your shoes polished as part of that pride.
  4. Color Guard will wear uniform and overcoat or guard jacket (must be unanimous decision).
  5. Under the band uniform, wear the RHS Show shirt, shorts, or long warmup pants/long underwear, long black socks. Keep in mind that privacy for changing is almost non existent.
  6. After performances, band & guard members should continue to represent Rockville High School. Students must be in Rockville High School Marching Band merchandise, or continue wear their uniforms (the band uniform jacket may be taken off and left in the garment bag on the bus). Windbreakers or overcoats should be worn after performance depending on the weather. In cold weather, all students should wear the RHS Marching Band Overcoat as the outermost layer of clothing.
  7. At the end of performances, all uniforms must be rehung on appropriate hangers, and taken home from school (including overcoats).
  8. For rehearsals, students should wear clothing appropriate to the weather and to the demands of marching. Due to decreased peripheral vision, do not wear hoods. No flip flops or sandals. Shirts need to be worn at all times. All RHS school policy rules apply for all rehearsals, please consult the student handbook.
