This area of Rochelle Ave was close to the Railroad depot. There was a Bowling alley, A&P, Post Office, Shoe Repair shop and Barbershop.
As the population grew, more stores opened along Rochelle Ave. There were Drug stores, Bakery's and Delicatessen.
