Music CD's

Over the years I have been able to work on a number of CD projects , mostly at my school or with the Three Cantors. As well, there are CD's on which I have performed. Below are the CD's. Click on the CD picture for more information.

Lester B. Pearson School for the Arts

Choral CELEBRATION CD's

Designed and Produced

In 1999 Pearson produced it's first CD. Until 2012 we made a CD from our annual Choral Celebration concert. Although this concert was primarily a choral concert, there were years that we included some strings, winds or drama as well. These CD's were made in conjunction with my choral teaching partner Wendy Landon. (Wendy Gee when we first started out, if you are looking at any of the CD write-ups.)

All of our Pearson CD's (as well as the Three Cantors, Angus Sinclair and Missa Gaia CD) were recorded with Geoff Warder. Geoff is an incredible musician and recording engineer! We first met when we sang together in the Fagan Singers and have continued our colaberations and friendship since!

Although the concerts continued, after 2012 we moved to putting all our performances on YouTube. (We are still in the process of completing this move.) If you click on any of the CD pictures, it will take you to each individual CD page with performance notes and a YouTube link to each song. Enjoy!

At Pearson we did continue to record our annual Choral Celebration concerts, but we started to put them directly on YouTube after 2012.

Three Cantors

Producer and Recording Engineer

The Three Cantors are three Anglican priests who all met in London, Ontario. David Pickett, Peter Wall, and Bill Cliff. They were accompanied by the incredible talented pianist and organist Angus Sinclair. All three were not only newly ordaned priests but also singers. They decided to do a concert in support of the Huron Hunger Fund. Things took off from there! Hundreds of concerts later, and after 4 CD's they have raised over $1.3 million for the fund!

David was my roommate throughout university and asked for assistance recording a CD as I was working for the Faculty of Music as a recording engineer while I also did my studies. I am honoured to have been able to play a part in this incredible endeavor!

Angus Sinclair

Producer and Recording Engineer

Angus Sinclair has a number of CD's available. I'm happy to have helped with this one.

Karen Schuessler Singers & Pearson Singers

Choir Preparation

Karen Schuessler has been the artistic director of the Schuessler Singers for over 25 year. In 1994 Karen wanted to perform and then record the Missa Gaia Earth Mass written by Paul Winter. She asked if the Pearson Singers would be a part of the project. We were trilled to participate. Wendy Landon and myself prepare our choir, and then together with the Schuessler Singers, Christ Church Choir, Denise Pelley and James Dundas we recorded the CD.

Arcady

Singer

Ron Beckett is a composer and the artistic director of Arcady. Amongst his many compositions Ron has written three operas which constitute a trilogy: "Ruth", "John", and "I Am ….”. Ron and I met while I was in university. For many years I performed with Ron. A popular concert was of course, The Messiah, which we performed annually in different cities between London and Toronto. (Arcady is based in Simcoe, Ontario.) Sometimes we would perform up to 7 Messiah concerts before Christmas in these various locations! The Messiah concerts are still done annually, as well as Arcady's other concerts throught the season. I was happy to be a part of two of their CD's.

Fagan Singers

Singer

The Fagan Singers, otherwise known as "The Small Choir", was a part of the London Fanshawe Symphonic Chorus organization. Both groups were under the direction of Gerald Fagan. Symphonic Chorus is now known as Chorus London, and is directed by David Holler. For over 25 years I had the opportunity to sing with the Fagan SIngers and sometimes with the Symphonic Chorus, depending on the particular concert. As well, for a while I served on the Board of Directors for the organization. During the time that Gerry was director, we produced three CD's.
